GPA Requirement: 3.6. Standing: Graduate. Need Based Required. Type of Scholarship: Departmental. Any graduate student enrolled in the Library and Information Science Program who has completed at least six (6) credit hours. Recipients must possess a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, be active in student associations and activities, submit a letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member as well as a pipeline transcript record, agree to remain in the Program until completion of the degree and complete the degree within 6 years. The Library and Information Science Alumni Association (LISAA) assists in the selection of the scholarship winner(s). Scholarship winners will be appointed as the LIS student representative on the LISAA board. Recipients will be selected based upon scholarship, qualities of character, leadership, and financial need. Amount varies; generally equivalent to the tuition of one 3-credit hour class.
