Scholarship Description:
To be considered a candidate for the J.F. Ahern Company Endowed Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Be a qualified, full-time student with an academic status as a junior or senior.
Be seeking a professional, baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectrual Engineering, or Construction Manangement with an interest in building enviromental system design speciality.
Maintain a MSOE minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading system.
Internship/Employment:
In accepting the J.F. Ahern Company Endowed Scholarship, the recipient must:
Be willing to participate, if eligible, for a paid company internship beginning after the successful completion of the academic year and continuing through the years the student receives the J.F. Ahern Company Scholarship.
Be willing to consider full or part-time, compensated summer employment with J.F. Ahern Company.
Schedule permitting, be willing to attend selected MSOE professional and social functions as the J.F. Ahern Company Scholar.
Be willing to consider full-time employment with J.F. Ahern Company following graduation.
