Description: Student Teaching Scholarship. This award is presented to an undergraduate student who will be student teaching for a full semester in the area of social studies or elementary education. The award will be based on documentation of financial need, promise in the field of teaching as evidenced by the student’s personal statement and letters of recommendation, and grade point average. Award: $1,500. Eligibility: Students who have paid a substantial portion of their college expenses and can document need, Students with good grade point averages and exceptional promise as teachers, Students who have applied for and expect approval for either fall or spring semester student teaching and who will be registered for at least 12 semester hours, Students planning to teach after completing the program.
