President's Scholars Program

Scholarship Description
This prestigious program provides a foundation for high-achieving students to develop and attain their potential for success as scholars, leaders and community members. This is more than just a scholarship, this opportunity is exceeding expectations. An interview with the Selection Committee is required for finalists. Eligibility Criteria: Incoming freshman, resident of California with a 3.75 GPA (as calculated for CSU admission) and a minimum score of 1200 on the SAT-I (combined critical reading and math portions of the exam) or 26 on the ACT tests. All transcripts, test scores and two recommendation letters must be submitted at the time of application to be considered. Only one scholarship application is required.

Full resident fees, a $600 per semester credit at the University bookstore, and use of a laptop computer.

Renewal Criteria
Renewable for four years. CI President’s Scholars must continue to demonstrate academic excellence, exhibit leadership, serve as a positive example to all of your peers and provide at least 15 hours per semester of University and community service, which may include active participation with the President in campus and community events, as well as meeting and interacting with local high school students. Scholars must also maintain a 3.5 GPA to remain eligible for renewal of the scholarship.
