Academy of Art University, founded in 1929 by artists for artists, is the nation's largest accredited, private art and design university with over 18,000 students. Having state-of-the-art campuses online and in San Francisco, the Academy guides students to creative professional futures. Academy of Art University offers accredited Associates (AA), Bachelors (BA, BFA, B.Arch*) and Masters (MA, MFA, M.Arch) degrees, as well as certificate programs and continuing art education. Additionally, Academy of Art University's pre-college art experience programs offer high school students the opportunity to explore their passion for art and design.

Accredited member WASC, NASAD, Council for Interior Design Accreditation (BFA - IAD, MFA - IAD), NAAB (B.Arch*, M-Arch).

Since the Academy of Art University's scholarship program was founded over forty years ago, we have helped aspiring artists and designers pursue their educational goals in art and design. The Academy of Art University offers a number of innovative and inexpensive ways for first-time Academy students, high school students, and teachers to improve their skills and experience all that the Academy has to offer. The Pre-College Summer Art Experience and Pre-College Saturday Art Experience are programs that provide intensive art experiences for high school students. All high school students are invited to apply to take advantage of this full-tuition scholarship (based on availability).
Every year, the Academy of Art University awards Portfolio Grants to assist Undergraduate students to pursue their education in the industry of Art.
The Teacher Grant provides high school and community college art teachers an opportunity to practice and improve their skills. These full-tuition scholarships apply toward any regular undergraduate course and are subject to limited availability.
