This competition is for students enrolled in grades 7 through 12. To qualify for this competition, applicants must be at least 13 years of age and be attending public, private, or home schools in the United States, Canada, or their territories. Students enrolled in Department of Defense schools are also eligible. Students graduating from high school before 2013 are not eligible. Previous winners of the DuPont Challenges are eligible. To apply, applicants must submit an essay between 700 and 1,000 words on a science-related topic. Prizes are awarded in the form of savings bonds. See website for more details.
