This scholarship is for members or children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or spouses of AIST Southern California Chapter members (chapter territory includes Southern California, Arizona, and Hawaii). An Engineering Scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing a career in engineering, the sciences, or other majors related to iron and steel production. A Member Scholarship will be awarded to members of the Material Advantage program, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, or spouses of active (dues paid) Southern California Chapter members for two consecutive years. Student members of the Material Advantage program are also eligible. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be accepted in an eligible full- or part-time course of study at an accredited university or college. Students must start the course of study at the university or college in the fall of the same year that the scholarship is awarded; the student may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in an undergraduate or participating graduate program.
