This scholarship is for high school seniors who are children of employees of companies controlled by Mason and Don Foertsch in Spencer County, Indiana. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be the natural or adopted children of employees who have completed one year of full-time service with a company controlled by Mason and Don Foertsch prior to January 31 of the year in which the award is made. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited four-year bachelor's degree program or in a two-year degree or certificate program at an accredited junior college or state-supported technical school. If there is an insufficient number of applicants meeting the established criteria, the guidance counselor will notify Heritage Hills High School students that the scholarship is being made available to students whose parents are not employees of Foertsch-controlled companies. Selection will be based on scholastic record, evidence of leadership, career plans and objectives, and on the required essay.
