Alliant Energy Foundation Community Service Scholarship Program

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for current customers and dependent children of current customers of one of Alliant Energy's utility subsidiaries (Interstate Power and Light or Wisconsin Power and Light). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be 24 years of age or younger; have a cumulative high school GPA between 2.5 and 4.0; reside in the Alliant Energy service territory (parts of Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin); and plan enroll in, for the first time, beginning in the fall, a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school located within Iowa, Wisconsin, or Minnesota. Scholarships will be awarded based on leadership experience and community service or volunteer activities, GPA, standardized test scores, and the content of a 300-word essay submission. Employees of Alliant Energy Corporation, Scholarship America, their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family (spouses, parents, children or siblings and their spouses) and persons living in the same household of such employees, who are employed at the time of application are not eligible for this scholarship.
