Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for children (including step-children, adopted children, and ward) and spouses of active AIST Pittsburg Chapter members in good standing. A member in good standing is defined as an AIST member that has been active in the chapter for at least two consecutive years. Members of the Material Advantage program at local Pittsburgh Chapter area colleges are also eligible to compete for the scholarships. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be accepted into, planning to attend, or currently enrolled in an eligible, full-time curriculum at an accredited university or college. If there are no applicants in engineering or metallurgy, the awards may be given to eligible student(s) studying other majors relating to iron and steel production.
