Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for graduating seniors who attend an accredited high school in one of the following Texas counties: Knox, Kent, Stonewall, Haskell, Throckmorton, Scurry, Fisher, Jones, Shackelford, Stephens, Mitchell, Nolan, Taylor, Callahan, Eastland, Runnels, Coleman, Brown, or Comanche. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been varsity athletes and have attended an eligible school for three years, including senior year. Applicants must also graduate in the top 25% of their class. If applicants were required to change schools due to imposed boundaries or changes within the school district, they should note this on the application. Selection will be based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated integrity and character. Financial need will be considered as a tie-breaker. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time. Participation in college/university athletics is not a requirement; please note that applicants who are planning to seek funds through an athletic scholarship at an NCAA-sanctioned university may not be allowed to accept this award.
