Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for public high school seniors in Westbrook, Connecticut. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate financial need and intend to pursue an education in the area of industrial arts, including but not limited to welding/metal fabrication, auto body, automotive, etc. If no applicant meets the criteria, any student pursuing education in the technical arts would be considered as a candidate. Applicants must have taken technology classes with Mr. Anderson or another industrial arts teacher. Applicants are not required to be "A" students; they only need to graduate and have been accepted into a technical school/institute or some other institution of higher education (college/university) that offers a program of study such as described above. A letter of recommendation from an industrial arts teacher is required. Those who do not attend Westbrook High School have until May 1 to submit an application.
