This scholarship is for undergraduate sophomores and juniors in Nebraska. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have completed at least 30 hours at an accredited four-year college and have a 3.2 GPA. Applicants must have a strong academic record (45%) and demonstrate financial need (40%). Preference will also be given to applicants who are interested in teaching in Lexington's dual-language elementary program (10%); applicants who are interested in a career in public service and have a demonstrated history of volunteerism (5%); or applicants who have received freshmen Foundation Scholarships (5%). At least one of the two scholarships will be awarded to a minority student.
