Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for residents of California who are enrolled or will be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours at an accredited food service-related postsecondary school to pursue studies in the restaurant and hospitality industry. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled or will enroll in two consecutive semesters or terms, have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA, have completed at least one grading term of a postsecondary program or be high school seniors going directly to postsecondary school, and be US citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must satisfy the minimum hours of food service industry-related work experience, paid or voluntary: 250 hours for high school students going into their freshmen year, 400 hours for college freshmen going into their sophomore year, 550 hours for students beyond sophomore year.
