Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for college-bound and currently enrolled students who are cancer survivors diagnosed at 18 years of age or younger. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of California, be 24 years of age or younger at the time of application, be able to demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend or currently attend a two- or four-year accredited undergraduate institution of higher education in California. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, medical hardship, determination, motivation, educational goals, academic requirements (a minimum 2.5 GPA is required), and community service. Scholarship recipients are required to serve a minimum of 50 volunteer hours with the American Cancer Society.
