Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for residents of Erie or Crawford County, Pennsylvania, who are college sophomores or beyond. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be attending a four-year post-secondary college or university located in Erie or Crawford County. Applicants must be available to complete an internship with Erie General Electric Credit Union the weeks of June 4th through August 10th 2012. Internships are available in the following departments: accounting, IT, and marketing. Applicants must be full-time students with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and continue to be enrolled full-time during the summer work experience. Applicants must also meet the following criteria: possess general and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma; possess good communication and interpersonal skills; have good organizational skills and a strong work ethic; be able to work a flexible schedule during the summer; and be willing to participate in a training program prior to the work experience.
