This scholarship is for high school seniors whose high school hosted/will host at least two blood drives with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center during the school year when the scholarship recipients are chosen. The Blood Center's service area includes the following areas in Texas: Houston Metro, East Texas, and Brazos Valley. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and plan to attend an institution of higher learning in the year following the awarding of the scholarship. Students do not have to donate blood in order to be eligible.
