Scholarship Overview

These scholarships are for residents of western Connecticut. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must live in the foundation's 21-town service area: Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury (there are a small number of exceptions; see application). Applicants must be high school students or adults entering their freshman year at an accredited US college or university. They must also have a cumulative GPA of "B-" and be US citizens. Scholarships are awarded based on extracurricular/work experience, recommendation letter, essay, financial need, and academic motivation.
