Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for community college students who will be transferring to an accredited four-year college or university in fall 2013. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum weighted community college GPA of 2.5 and be 18 years of age by September 1, 2013. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words responding to the following essay topic: "According to the National Transportation Safety Board, about 6,000 deaths and a half a million injuries are caused by distracted drivers every year. How do you recommend that we decrease these staggering statistics, particularly for younger drivers?"
