Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for high school seniors and GED recipients up to the age of 25 who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must reside within a 30-mile radius of a Cumberland Farms retail location; stores are located in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Children of full- or part-time Cumberland Farms employees are encouraged to apply, regardless of residence location. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or a GED minimum standard score average of 500, demonstrate financial need, and be entering the first year of undergraduate study in the fall of 2013. Scholarships are awarded based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.
