Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for seniors graduating high schools located in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb County, Michigan. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be entering their first year of college in fall 2013, demonstrate financial need, and have the equivalent of a 3.2 GPA average in the last two years of high school or at graduation. Applicants must demonstrate exemplary leadership and character as evidenced by extracurricular activities, service in the school and the community, volunteer involvement, or paid work experience. Applicants must have applied to or be accepted as full-time, first-year students at an accredited postsecondary educational certificate or degree program. Academic honors, class rank, and standardized test scores will also be considered. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have overcome specific hardships to achieve their personal and educational goals.
