Scholarship Overview
This contest is for high school students residing in one of the five New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens) who have not previously published an original manuscript for profit. To enter this contest, applicants must write and illustrate a book and submit a manuscript that teaches elementary-aged children about how tolerance and diversity can improve our world. Submissions should provide a story that children can related to and promote a greater understanding of different cultures, lifestyles, and beliefs. Submissions may be fiction or nonfiction.
