Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students who immigrated to the United States as children; who are, or will be, graduates of high school prior to the start of college classes; and who do not qualify for in-state tuition. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or higher and intend to seek higher education at a US college or university. Applicants must have resided in Arizona and must apply be accepted to an institute of higher learning prior to August 1st. Scholarship recipients must maintain 6 credits per quarter and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Recipients must also provide proof of enrollment at the institution for which they have applied. In addition to applying for the Dream Scholarship fund, applicants who are men must register for the selective service (men regardless of immigration status, between the ages of 18 and 26 are legally required to register with the selective service). To apply for this scholarship, applicants submit an essay that addresses the reason for wanting to continue a higher education; and create a presentation about the biggest challenges that immigrant students face in America today, which may be prepared as an essay, PowerPoint, multimedia format, or other electronic means.
