Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who live in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, or attend a Kalamazoo County high school, alternative high school, or GED program. Current Kalamazoo County residents who are high school graduates are also eligible, as are graduates of Kalamazoo County high schools, alternative high schools, and GED programs who live elsewhere. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to enroll full-time in a two-year degree program at a community college or technical curriculum at a community college, trade, or vocational school. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, extracurricular or community volunteer activities, and work experience. Applicants must also be US citizens/permanent resident aliens. Financial need may be a consideration in the final step of the selection process but is not a requirement for application. Preference is given to applicants with GPAs between 2.0 and 3.2.
