Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in geology at a college or university located in Texas. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be at least sophomores at the time of application and must have declared their major as geology in an undergraduate or master's degree program. Applicants must be full-time students and have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate the motivation to pursue a career in geology by a written essay. Applicants should be available for a personal interview, if requested. Preference will be given to applicants who have attended high school in East Texas. Dependents of scholarship committee members are not eligible to apply.
