This scholarship is for college-bound high school seniors attending District of Columbia public schools. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled full-time as high school students, graduate, and plan to enroll full-time in college no later than the fall following completion of high school. Each high school's nominating committee will recommend a maximum of two students to receive the award. Recipients will be selected based principally on academic achievement, with consideration given for other community/extracurricular activities, leadership, financial need, student essay, character evaluation form, and other personal or family attributes. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or lawful permanent residents.
