This scholarship is for juniors attending high school in Harris County, Texas, who demonstrate exceptional achievement and ability in science or mathematics. Each high school within Harris County may nominate one high school junior for this award. To apply for this scholarship, submissions must include a nomination form and one letter of recommendation each from the school principal or assistant principal, and a teacher. Nominees must include include the following: a curriculum vitae or resume; high school transcript; SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores; a 300-word or less essay about plans for college and future career; and a 500-word or less description of a project of activity that best demonstrates ability and interest in science or mathematics. Applicants must be nominated by a high school administrator or faculty member.
