This scholarship is for high school graduates and graduating high school seniors who have attended a high school in the Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools District in North Carolina for a minimum of one school year. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be immigrants to the United States who came to the country with or without parents, or a first-generation US citizen of immigrant parents or guardians. Applicants may be documented or undocumented immigrants. Candidates must have overcome significant adversity to pursue their educational goals, demonstrate financial need, and have been accepted into an accredited college, university, or community college. Family members of Triangle Community Foundation or members of the Selection Committee are not eligible to apply.
