Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students in Oregon who are 25 years of age or older and have not earned a bachelor's degree. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. They may enter the program at any phase of their education, but preference is given to applicants with limited or no recent college experience--and only then when the applicant is not currently a full-time student. Applicants must earn a certificate or an associate's or bachelor's degree and enroll full-time in the fall after applying at an accredited non-profit Oregon college. Applicants must also demonstrate the following: financial need; a history of working responsibly on the job or in the home to help raise a family; a commitment to education of a way of improving one's life and the lives of one's family and community; demonstrated initiative/leadership ability; and the ability to communicate clearly about strengths and goals.
