Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are Chicana/Latina and attending a high school in California. To qualify for this scholarship applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to attend a two-year, four-year, or technical college in the fall of 2013. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a personal statement no more than three pages in length, using 12-point font and double spaced response on the following topic: "Describe any difficult or special circumstances you faced as you were growing up and/or describe any specific family responsibilities that you have had. How did this experience affect your academic and personal development? How did this experience give you a unique background or perspective?" Applicants must also include a resume (or a list of activities, organization, community service, etc. in which they have participated).
