Scholarship Overview

This grant is for dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Funds may be used towards the cost of attendance at eligible colleges, universities, or technical colleges in Georgia. To qualify, applicants must be US citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens; be legal residents of Georgia for 12 months prior to receiving aid; be enrolled in a Georgia public college, university, or technical college as full-time (12 hours) undergraduate students seeking a college degree or technical certificate/diploma; be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements; maintain satisfactory academic progress; be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990; and not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program.
