Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for African-American men from the Chicagoland area in Illinois. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors who are admitted to and attend a full-time undergraduate course of study an an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the fall. Applicants must be US citizens. Scholarships will be awarded based on community or civic involvement, personal statements, letters of recommendation, and an interview with the scholarship committee. Recipients must commit to attend the Scholarship Presentation Gala in June 2013.
