Hearthstone Housing Foundation Academic Scholarship Program

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for students who are 16 to 25 years of age. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must reside in a Hearthstone Housing Foundation property or residents of a county where a Hearthstone property is located, which includes the California counties of Alameda, Butte, Fresno, Glenn, Imperial, Lake, Los Angeles, Modoc, Napa, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, and Tulare; the Oregon counties of Deschutes and Portland; the Texas counties of Tarrant and Victoria; and the Washington counties of Benton, Clallam, Clark, Franklin, Grant, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, Thurston, Walla Walla, Whatcom, and Yakima. Applicants must attend a college, university, trade school, professional or leadership training, or internship. Current high school students and college-bound freshmen must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and current college students must maintain a 2.75 GPA. Applicants must be available for a phone interview tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2013, or Saturday, June 1, 2013.
