Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students who live in the following counties in Western North Carolina: Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Polk, Swain, and Transylvania. Applicants must be planning to attend or be currently attending a musical conservatory or other educational institution that has a music department of recognized standing. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, traits of high personal character and leadership, and musical aptitude. Semi-finalists will be interviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee, and will present a five-minute musical performance.
