John Francis Amherst Cecil Scholarships

Scholarship Overview

These scholarships are for high school seniors and high school graduates who are the legal dependents of employees of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be the legal dependent of a current year-round, full-time employee, year-round part-time employee, or seasonal full-time employee with one year of completed service at the time of application. The primary criteria for awarding these scholarships will be: academic achievement and potential; financial need; moral character; community service; extracurricular activities; leadership skills; and work experience will also be considered. Scholarship recipients may attend any accredited vocational/technical school or two- or four-year public or private college in the United States. All members of the family of John Francis Amherst Cecil and all children of the officers of Biltmore are ineligible.
