Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students who are citizens of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been accepted or be enrolled in an accredited journalism or mass communications degree program. Applicants must write an essay on a given topic, provide two writing samples (published preferred), and be willing to apply for an eight-week paid summer internship with the Cherokee Phoenix newspaper in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
