Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for high school seniors of Latino descent who reside in one of the following Chicago-area neighborhoods in Illinois: Little Village, Pilsen, Bridgeport, McKinley Park, Brighton Park, Archer Heights, Garfield Ridge, Gage Park, West Lawn, Cicero, or Berwyn. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must excel in the realms of service, academics, and leadership. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be accepted to a two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must also have completed a minimum of 200 documented hours of community service and be an active member of at least three school or community clubs, sports, or organizations and have held a leadership position. Financial need will be taken into consideration.
