Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for employees, retirees, and dependents of employees and retirees of Acme Construction Company in Cleveland, Ohio. To qualify for this scholarship, employees and former employees must have a minimum of 30-days tenure. Applicants must be enrolled or plan to enroll in at post-secondary course of study an accredited educational institution in pursuit of a bachelor's or higher degree, or a program of training that prepares its students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation.. Applicants must also be US citizens or legal residents with verification stamped "I-551 unexpired." In the case of certification or vocational training, applicants must be enrolled or accepted in a program for which support is sought. Scholarship selection will be based on three main criteria: good academic standing, ability to benefit, and financial need. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and write a personal statement of up to 600 words that describes their personal history, perspectives, educational plans, and career goals.
