Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for high school seniors who live within the boundaries of Kalamazoo Public School District in Kalamazoo, Michigan. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and lived within the school district for at least grades 9-12 and graduate from Kalamazoo Central High School, Loy Norrix High School, or Phoenix High School. Students should apply as early as possible in their senior year of high school. Recipients of this scholarship will have tuition and mandatory fees covered at a participating Michigan college or university for up to four years of full-time study; the percentage of tuition covered depends on how long the student has continuously attended school in the Kalamazoo Public School System. Recipients have ten years from the time they graduate high school to use the scholarship and may start and stop at any time. Students who do not meet residency/enrollment requirements by their senior year may appeal their eligibility, especially in hardship cases (custody, death in the family, and foster care placement). For more information, see the organization's website or your high school guidance counselor.
