This scholarship is for "non-traditional students" who are current residents of Chemung County in New York (2+ years of residence) and have been accepted at a technical school, college, university or nursing school for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet income requirements and attend an educational institution within 55 miles of Elmira, which include, but are not limited to, the following schools: Elmira College, Keuka College, Binghamton University, Elmira Business Institute, Corning Community College, Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Elmira Business Institute. Preference will be given students pursuing early childhood education and/or certification.
