Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for high school seniors, high school graduates/GED holders, and current undergraduate and graduate students who are Alaska Natives. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be Alaska Native shareholders or descendants (may be adopted) of the Koniag Region, which includes Kodiak Island and the Kodiak Archipelago. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be majoring in anthropology, history, Alaska Native or American Indian studies, or other disciplines with a course of study that involves research and study of Alutiiq culture. Lastly, candidates must be enrolled in or join the Koniag, Inc. descendent or shareholder database.
