This scholarship is for African-American graduating seniors from a high school serving Fairfield, Lexington, Richland, Kershaw, or Sumter County, South Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 2.8 on the SC Uniform Grading Scale and a combined (Reading and Math) SAT score of 900 (1350 three-score-eqivalent). Applicants must entering their freshman year at an institution of higher learning in South Carolina that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or a comparable regional accrediting organization. Preference will be given to applicants attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
