This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who identify as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender), and for those LGBT graduates who may have deferred attending an educational institution for one year following graduation. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be from the Tri-State area, including New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Scholarships are awarded based on demonstration of past leadership and community service involvement, academic credentials, personal essay, an individual interview, financial need, and future goals.
