This scholarship is for students who are immigrants or of immigrant descent and are affiliated with a COFEM Federation or Club; or students who are an AB-540 student and pursuing a higher education. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must, enrolled in an undergraduate program at a four-year accredited university, a two-year program at community college, or a graduate program at an accredited university. Freshman enrolled by fall of 2012 are also eligible. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate a need for financial assistance, demonstrate involvement in community and/or work experience, and be able to participate in the 2012 Annual Scholarship Reception on November 30, 2012.
