Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for education majors who are minorities of African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American, or Native American origin. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a teacher education program or curriculum leading to initial teacher certification at a qualified Illinois institution of higher education. Scholarship recipients must sign a contract promising to teach one year for each year of scholarship assistance or repay the money plus interest.
