Scholarship Overview

This is a college scholarship for the spouses or children of full-time Mississippi law enforcement officers or firefighters who were fatally injured or totally disabled from injuries that occurred in the line of duty. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be current legal Mississippi residents and attend a Mississippi public college or university. Under the program, scholarship funds cover the cost of tuition, including required fees, and the average cost of campus housing at any state-supported college or university within the state of Mississippi for eight semesters or until the recipient is 23 years old, whichever occurs first.
