Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for women who are between the ages of 17 and 35, US citizens, and current members of the Sons of Norway, or the daughter or granddaughter of a current member. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least one term (quarter or semester) of study as chemistry majors, physics majors, chemical engineering majors, electrical engineering majors, or mechanical engineering majors. Applicants must have attained an SAT score of at least 1800, a math score of 600 or better, or an ACT score of at least 26. Selection for this scholarship is based upon long-term career goals and clarity of student plan; academic potential and evidence of ability to succeed; letters of recommendation giving specific evidence of good character, eagerness, and earnestness; and ambition in the field of science and engineering.
