This scholarship is for students who have a mailing address in Owatonna, Minnesota, or who have worked at an Owatonna business for at least the past two years. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school graduates or possess a GED. Those who have already been accepted to a technical or community college program without a high school diploma or GED are also eligible. Applicants must have graduated from high school prior to or with last year's graduating class. If not a high school graduate, the class from which they should have graduated must have been prior to or with last year's graduating class. First-year students and students currently enrolled in non-four year technical programs who have at least one full year of credits remaining are eligible to apply. Applicants may pursue their education on a full- or part-time basis, but must carry a minimum of three credits. Applicants must indicate and display a strong aptitude and desire to succeed in their chosen career and a positive attitude and be good citizens of their community. Financial need may be considered, but will not be a major factor.
