Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students between the ages of 17 and 25 who are residents of the Houston, Texas area, or attend a Houston-area college. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered; demonstrate financial need; and have at least a 2.0 GPA. Selection will be based on a combination of achievement in the areas of academic excellence, leadership, extracurricular activities, and financial need. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay discussing their relationships with their family, school, friends, and community; personal and professional goals; and their future contribution to a better LGBT society. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time.
