Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students of color who are graduates of Minnesota high schools and are enrolled full-time in a Minnesota college/university. Scholarship recipients are required to complete a minimum of 50 hours for a Service-to-Children project, where they are serve as mentors/tutors younger children of color (K-8th grade). There are no academic requirements for this scholarship. Non-US citizens are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on an essay, letters of recommendation, a willingness to complete the Service-to-Children requirement, and financial need. Applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2013.
